Department of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality
The office of the agricultural counsellor at the Royal Netherlands Embassy in Hungary is fulfilling a regional function. The officer responsible for Veterinary affairs and food safety is in charge of the whole of Central Europe, including the Baltic states and the Balkan states.
The most important tasks of the department are the exchange of policy, the administration of addresses for export promotion and assistance in making investments. In this respect, attention is also given to veterinarian and phytosanitarian regulations.
The office is authorized, although on a limited scale, to carry out nature projects in Hungary and other countries that the Agricultural Council is accredited to.
